2015 Oscar-esque Affordable Dresses

We really loved the dresses we saw on the red carpet last night from the Oscars. More often than not, we tune into the Oscars just to see who is dressed to impress! It is so awesome to see the beautiful looks, but let's face it, not all of us can afford these super expensive looks. We rounded up our favorite looks from last night and have found dresses that are similar in style but at an affordable price. Shop the looks above, below!

1) Jamie Chung in Yanina Couture.
2) Margot Robbie in Saint Laurent.
3) Zendaya in Vivienne Westwood
4) Dakota Johnson in Saint Laurent.
  • Affordable Designer Look-Alike-Dress: Macy's
5) Rosamund Pike in Givenchy
6) Chrissy Teigen in Zuhair Murad

Our Favorite Columbus Day Sales

There is nothing like celebrating a holiday by shopping! This Columbus Day we are looking forward to some retail therapy with some amazing sales from our favorite stores. Click the links above to shop some of our favorites from each brand. We're suckers for sweet hats and Forever 21's Velvet Fedora Hat is back in stock! Macy's also has some trendy, Olive Pope looking coats that we are dying to try as well. It's definitely the season for lots of cooking and baking so we are really loving the different cake pedestals and cake stands at Williams-Sonoma. We are all about "shopping till you drop" so when you're done filling up your shopping cart, apply the codes we've listed above. Many of these deals end today so don't miss out on some awesome savings.

You can thank us later!

Photo Finish Look

 Foundation Primer: Smashbox-Photo Finish Luminizing

We finally got our Co-Founder, Karen, to dish out her secret to looking photogenic in photos!  No photoshop here folks! Karen said her secret to her photo finish look  in pictures is Photo Finish  Luminizing Foundation Primer.  "I recently discovered this product at Smashbox and it has made a huge difference in my photos!"

What's the process of using this product?
"After you have applied your powder, take a pea size amount of the foundation primer and put it on the parts of your face where the light from the camera will reflect off of: your forehead, cheeks, bridge of nose, and chin. Use the beauty blender or your finger to smoothly rub it into your face."

Where can you buy it?
"You can usually get them at the Smashbox counter found in Nordstroms or at Macy's or QVC, but I would recommend buying it from Amazon  or Beauty.com "

What makes this product different from other primer products?
"I love this product because it is oil-free! A lot of foundation primers are oily and give off an oily glow look. The Photo Finish Luminizing Foundation Primer gives off a natural, more matte glow that translates well in photos!"

Now that we know Karen's secret to her photo finish glow, lets all try it out (click here to try)
Let us know what other products you use to make your face glow in pictures; we would love to hear!
